Safe Haven Agency understands that a little help can go a long way. Part of our services now includes assisting our clients in improving their daily home activities. Safe Haven Agency even offers a day habilitation program for the individuals by engaging in a variety of living experiences, as well as life skills training. Some of our home healthcare services also include:
General Services
Skilled Nursing
We provide part-time and full-time skilled nursing. Skilled nursing care includes services and care that can be performed safely and correctly by a licensed nurse (RN or LPN).
Personal Care Services
Safe Haven Agency assists in washing, dressing, and helping with other personal needs. These services are often provided at home by a caregiver for people who are unable to manage alone. We also assist with getting out of bed, transferring from bed to wheelchair, grooming, trimming nails, shaving, using the bathroom, and taking a bath. Our caregivers also monitor blood and sugar levels as needed and provide other general services that are asked of us to ensure ultimate comfort and safety of our consumers/clients.
Group Homes
We provide group home services to individuals that need 24/7 hour care.
Companionship and support
We provide personal in-home care and companionship for individuals with developmental disabilities, the elderly and individuals that are either injured or are recovering from injuries. We interact with our clients through conversation, and we listen and provide answers to their questions to help in the development of the individual. Our clients' complete satisfaction is our first priority, and we are dedicated to delivering peace of mind through caring and compassionate services.
Transportation
We provide transportation to and from the school, workshops, and various destinations in the community. Transportation is also provided to individuals in Supportive Employment seven days a week if applicable. The safety and comfort of Safe Haven Agency's clients are a top priority of the caregivers. Our drivers are trained to provide service for people who need greater assistance--the elderly, the disabled, the injured and individuals in wheelchairs. We provide door-to-door transportation to health care appointments and clinical patient tests. Drivers are trained to be safety conscious for their protection and for the protection of the clients they transport.
Housekeeping
We are responsible for maintaining the house, cleaning rooms, sanitizing various areas in the home. Most importantly, hygiene has to be maintained in the house to prevent the spread of germs and outbreak of diseases. Housekeeping duties may include the preparation of meals, laundry, and recycling.
Shopping & errands
We are able to provide our consumers/clients with caregivers that can run just about any errand including but not limited to grocery and clothes shopping. Our caregivers can assist clients to make grocery lists according to the client's wants and needs.
Independent living assistance
We assist in non-medical in-home care using dedicated home care aides and volunteers to provide services to the homebound or disabled. Safe Haven offers affordable flexible service plans and individualized care plans. Safe Haven Agency can help you or a loved one manage the complex maze of healthcare and support services. Our specialized case workers meet with families to assess needs, solve problems, cordinate healthcare, and acts as a liaison to physicians as well as to local and long-distance family members. If needed, specialized case workers will assist in transitions necessary for moving clients from their homes to other levels of care and can accompany patients to doctor's appointments. Also, our home care aides and volunteers are background checked and fingerprinted.
Respite care
We provide short-term, temporary relief to those who are caring for family members who might otherwise require permanent placement in a facility outside the home. The type of respite care provided depends on the needs of the individual. The frequency and duration of services depends on the needs of the client/consumer. (What do you mean by the fact that the frequency depends on the caregiver).
Management Services
Payee services
At Safe Haven, we review client income and expenses, and then set up a budget that becomes a bill-paying roadmap. We manage client checking accounts, pay all bills on time, and negotiate any issues that arise with service providers.
Social services
Safe Haven Agency assists clients in organizing basic recreational activities such as various sporting activities, games, birthday parties, and interaction with other individuals.
Home safety services
Safe Haven Agency will educate clients on general home safety tips such as avoiding cooking fires, candles and fire safety, preventing dog bites, electrical hazards, electrical outlet dangers, garage door injuries, and mini blind cords to ensure safety of the client at home.
